WANTED.--Strong, healthy girls, must be over 18, with at least two recent references, to fit periwinkles into their shells after their meals, at Blackpool and Cockersands Abbey.--Applicants must have dexterous fingers and wrists without bandles and rings; previous experience not essential.--Apply by letter only, with copies of references and credentials, to Liar Office, Preston.

Our aim is to provide a balanced and useful guide to Fulwood schools for children, parents and outside visitors.

Fulwood is a mostly affluent district of Preston. None of the state schools here are bad and most, if not all, schools would be described as good or better.

Downloads from here are normally several times faster than from the government web site.
